How did you find us:

We found aPad4Paws when visiting a wedding show in Exeter which was perfect timing as we’d not long got our springer spaniel, Otto. We knew we wanted Otto at our wedding but had no idea how we could make this work until we came across them at the show.

How did you feel about having a chaperone looking after your dog on your special day?

Completely at ease thanks to all the meetings and communications beforehand as we knew Otto was going to be well looked after! Having a chaperone meant we didn’t have to ask a friend or family member to look after Otto throughout the day meaning all our guests were able to enjoy themselves and we were able to relax knowing Otto was Sue’s sole priority throughout the day. 

How was our contact throughout the lead up to your special day ?

Sue and Pete remained in close contact in the lead up to the day and even took the time to message us personally following a Facebook post they had put up as their car was out of action, as they wanted to reassure us that they’d already arranged a hire car as a backup for our wedding weekend. 

What was our response time like ?

Sue and Pete always responded to any queries we had quickly and efficiently, which was so reassuring amongst the stress of planning a wedding!

Were we flexible ?

Sue and Pete were completely flexible to ours/Otto’s needs with a fully bespoke plan put together to fit around the timings of our day. Having photos with Otto was really important to us and Sue made sure he was prepped and ready as soon as we gave her and the photographer the nod to sneak off for some photos.

What was our communication like?

Communication was really good throughout. We initially spoke over email with a WhatsApp group created shortly before the big day which was perfect as it meant everyone was kept in the loop.

How did you feel after our zoom: 

We had a Zoom with Sue and Pete before the big day which was great for finalising a plan and timings for the day; weddings are always stressful, so it was great to know that everything was sorted for Otto. Prior to this we had a face-to-face meeting at their home so we could see where Otto would be staying, and this also allowed Otto the opportunity to meet Sue and Pete before the big day. Otto is a typical springer and can be quite full on, however Sue and Pete were completely unphased and Otto made himself at home very quickly, meaning we felt completely at ease.

Your overall experience of us ?

Sue and Pete are nothing short of amazing as is the service they provide! Our day wouldn’t have been the same without Otto there and we feel so lucky to have found such lovely, professional and kind people that were able to make that possible. We loved all the photos and videos sent through showing the day from Otto’s perspective, including a video of him watching me and my bridal party walking down the aisle which is one of my most treasured memories from the day! Not only did Sue and Pete provide an incredible service on the day, but they also went above and beyond looking after Otto for a week following the wedding, with only a few weeks’ notice! We unfortunately had a rather awful experience with our previous boarding facility meaning that with 5 weeks to go, we had no one to look after Otto when we went on our mini moon following the wedding. We reached out to Sue and Pete to see if they could help, and they replied the same day saying they would be more than happy to help and even shuffled their diary around to accommodate him. Otto went home from the wedding with Sue and stayed at aPad4Paws for the next week where he had a great time, and we were kept up to date with daily pictures and videos which we loved receiving. We had the most positive experience with aPad4Paws and feel so lucky to have found them, our day wouldn’t have been the same without them!

What’s your advice to a to-be bride about using our chaperone services ?

It will be the best choice you made for your wedding day!
