We then had a zoom call two weeks before the wedding to go through the plans and times for the day which left us all feeling confident ahead of the day, Sue was so accommodating and understanding that although plan A was in place, it could end up being very different subject to how Gino is as he sure does suffer from FOMO. This was no problem at all.
In the days before the wedding a WhatsApp group was set up so we could communicate, and there were a few last minute tweaks which Sue took in her stride.
On the day, Sue arrived on time and equipped for the day ahead. Gino took to Sue amazingly and she quickly put him at ease, showing him around the venue, brushing him and getting him ready for his role as dog of honour. In his moments of insecurity Sue provided the confidence he needed and reassuring him - Sue even managed to bring Gino up to meet me from the hotel before the ceremony, which was a huge thing for Gino being away from the people he knows which shows the relationship they had built in a short time.
This was the first time we had met Sue in person and it was like meeting a friend we'd known for years. Sue then helped Gino to make his grand entrance and looked after him during the ceremony, then assisting with the photos etc. It was so lovely to have Sue there to take the pressure off other family members to look after Gino who was also thoroughly enjoying the day. Although plan A didn't happen, Sue was more than happy to go with whatever made Gino happy and it was lovely to see him relaxed and happy.
When planning our wedding and finding out our perfect venue, The Sandy Cove Hotel was dog friendly I knew Gino, our family golden retriever had to be there. As an anxious dog we knew we would need help to make the day possible for him which is when I found Pad4Paws on social media and made contact. I was so pleased they were available on our wedding day.
Following a zoom call to meet Sue & Pete we knew right away they were the prefect fit for Gino & us. Having goldies themselves they understand the goldie way and were both so friendly and lovely, and understanding of Gino's anxieties. We confirmed our wedding date and looked forward to Gino being part of our day, knowing he would be looked after
The icing on the cake was the photos and videos sent the next day of Gino's POV of the day and it was so lovely to see what he got up to while we were getting ready, see him greeting our guests etc.
Sue was quite simply our fairy god mother of the wedding day. It meant so much to have Gino as part of the day and to see him happy and relaxed, and all this was down to Sue who was simply amazing. I really can't thank you enough for making our dreams come true with our wedding.
To any bride and grooms to-be wondering if a dog chaperone is worth it, I'd say they are worth their weight in gold!

The best people to look after our special pups
Sue & Pete are wonderful people who put their heart and soul into their work. The time they take to get to know you before the big day is unrivalled and right from our first call, we had complete confidence that they were the right people to take care of our dogs on our wedding day. The process started with a zoom call to understand our requirements and what they could do for us. We were blown away with their flexibility and their desire to ensure the day was planned to suit us.
We were then fortunate enough to meet Sue & Pete and their gorgeous dogs for a dog walk at which point it felt like they’d became friends, more so than our suppliers. In the lead up to the wedding, we were kept up to date with communication and had a zoom call going over all the finer details giving us all the confidence that we needed that the dogs would be well looked after. There was never any doubt.
On the wedding day Sue & Pete worked with our photographer to make sure we got the all important shots. We were so relaxed knowing that the dogs were safe and being cared for whilst we did our own photos and greeted our guests. They then went back to our accommodation and the dogs were comfortable enough to enjoy cuddles and snoozes.
Finally and probably the most unexpected point, yet added so much value was the photographs and videos we received, the day after from the dogs point of view. This gave us gorgeous moments of the day that we didn’t see and wouldn’t have otherwise had captured but were so precious to us. Sue took a video of me walking down the aisle and we must have played it 20 times since.
We cannot recommend Sue & Pete enough. They completely understand dogs of all breeds, sizes and needs and the experience was flawless from start to finish. We would recommend them to anyone that would like their pups to be part of their special day.

100% recommend! 🐕
Sue and Pete were our #1 go-to as our dog chaperone on our wedding day.
From day one they were professional, with excellent communication and speedy replies. Their obvious love and passion for dogs made us feel at ease.
On our wedding day Sue met us prior to our ceremony and was brilliant with our dog (Scooby) throughout the day. She kept him occupied when we were busy, taking him for nice walks around the gardens and giving him delicious cheese!
A video showing the day from Scooby's point of view was a lovely addition to the day!
When we needed Scooby as our ring bearer and for professional photos, Sue was there with him ready to go. In addition, Sue is excellent at helping dogs looks down the lense of a camera!
We couldn't have asked for anyone better to look after Scooby on our day - thank you Sue (and Pete!).

Peace of Mind.
They were amazing!
We have an energetic young dog which was taken full care of.
This meant we could enjoy our wedding day and we were still able to have our puppy involved.
They were also really flexible with how you want the day to go 😊
Would recommend if you just want peace of mind on your wedding day.

Wonderful Couple, Amazing Service & some very happy Doggie's
As soon as we got engaged my husband and I knew we wanted to get married in Cornwall. One of the next questions that entered our minds was ... what are we going to do with the 6 dogs across our families, when all our nearest and dearest who would usually take care of them will be at the wedding ? Two pugs, a Chihuahua, Jack Russell, Dachshund and our Boston Terrier. All with their own quirks and care requirements, we worried if we would find someone to look after them.
But then we found the lovely Sue and Pete. From our very first virtual meeting with them both, our minds were completely put at ease their love and knowledge for dogs shone through. Their communication throughout was exceptional and they produced a very detailed plan so that we all knew the timings etc. for the big day.
On the wedding day within 5 minutes of Sue and Pete's arrival, we could instantly tell how settled all the dogs were with them. Some of our doggies are very very nervous of strangers so this was amazing to see ! Sue also supported us in including our Boston Terrier Maui in the actual wedding ceremony, including getting him into his outfit, keeping him calm beforehand and walking him down the aisle with our rings. Sue was also on hand with treats for Maui that helped us get him to pose perfectly for some photos. Sue also came back up to the venue, which was a 10 minute walk from the cottages, with Maui for our first dance. We didn't feel that anything was too much trouble !
Sue and Pete's professionalism and caring nature meant that we didn't have a single worry about the dogs on the day, we knew they were in safe hands. We would not hesitate to use Sue and Pete's services again or recommend them to others ! 😃 Xxx

The Perfect People to Look After Your Dog!
We found Sue through Hitched and immediately felt comfortable with them! She was so brilliant taking the time to get to know us and learning about our 18 month old working cocker Alfie. On the day she took care of everything, whenever we needed Alfie/Sue anywhere they were there, ready and waiting! We had no concerns at all, and Alfie fell in love with her (and her box of cheese which may have played a part!). Honestly, every guest who interacted with Sue said she was such a calming presence, for both our wild dog and the guests! We also loved that she took so many pictures and videos from the day to document it from Alfie's perspective, which was such a special touch. We would recommend Sue and A Pad 4 Paws to anyone and everyone.

Outstanding from beginning to end
From our first enquiry right up until after our wedding, the service we received from Sue was outstanding.
We had zoom calls before the big day so she knew the timeline in detail and how we wanted Freddie to fit into the wedding. On the hectic wedding morning she kept Freddie wonderfully occupied whilst we all got ready, and then she changed him into his gorgeous outfit and got him beautifully involved in the parts of the wedding he was needed, and kept him happy and content when he wasn't. I cannot recommend her enough. As a wonderful added bonus, she documented his day from his point of view and shared all the videos with us the next morning which was absolutely lovely to see!
Thank you so much!

We can’t recommend Sue and Pete enough. They did everything possible to make sure Murphy was comfortable and happy at our wedding. We had a particularly hot day but Sue managed to keep Murphy calm and cool by using cool pads, cold bandanas etc and we felt reassured that Murphy was in amazing hands! Sue also sent us many pics and videos and a message to let us know Murphy was home safe. Thank you so much. We now have memories with Murphy for life and can’t thank you enough.

Highly recommend. Trusting, experienced and professional
Couldn’t recommend Sue and Pete anymore. They had a particularly hard task given our dog, Arlo being the ring bearer was a complete surprise to the groom.
The groom had no idea until Arlo walked down the aisle. Sue and Pete allowed me to be flexible in the planning. Even up to 15 minutes before Sue and I would text to make sure she and Arlo remained hidden. Arlo had the best day, constant play, treats and well deserved nap time when needed.

Pablo - English Bulldog
When we were planning our wedding, it was a no brainer to us that we wanted Pablo, our English Bulldog, as part of the day. However, we didn’t want any of our family or friends to have to take the responsibility of him. That’s when we found Sue and aPad4Paws! We had several zoom calls with her leading up to the wedding and she asked so many questions about his preferences/allergies to make sure that he would be comfortable throughout the day. On the day, it was perfect. It was quite a warm day and Pablo can struggle in the heat - she was prepared for everything, water bowls, cooling bandanas, she took Pablo off to cool down when she could see that he was too hot. She helped him pose for photos by having a constant supply of cheese to hand! You can really tell she loves animals so much. The next morning, she sent through so many videos and photos from Pablo’s perspective which was so nice to immediately have those clips and see parts of the wedding. I honestly could not recommend them enough.

The most wonderful team to look after our dog and be a part of our wedding day!
Sue & Pete were so wonderful chaperoning our little dog Bilbo for our wedding at Rockbeare Manor in June. They were so attentive and warming during the organization of the day and also looking after Bilbo during the serve Pete was so amazing at keeping Bilbo calm and still be apart of the day.
They kept us updating throughout Bilbo’s overnight stay and we know Bilbo had the best time staying with them. We couldn’t recommend this wonderful couple and business more! Thank you so so much!

Sue and Pete tamed our wild Golden! 🦁
From the moment we met Sue and Pete at the South West Wedding Fair in Exeter—accompanied by their two charming golden retrievers—we were instantly impressed. Before that, we hadn’t even considered the possibility of including our own energetic Golden in our wedding day. But after chatting with them and hearing about their journey and the experiences they’d had, we knew we had to book them.
Their website made the booking process easy, and they were quick to respond with availability. Despite the travel from Plymouth to our venue in Bridgwater, their pricing was incredibly reasonable. We also had a Zoom call to discuss the details and felt completely reassured by their professionalism and warmth. A few weeks before the big day, we decided we wanted our boy to be part of the ceremony by delivering the rings. Sue and Pete were completely on board and worked with him on the day to make it happen—he did a brilliant job! On the morning of the wedding, Sue was with Casper from the outset. She took him for walks, kept him calm during key moments, dressed him in his little suit and ring bearer clip, and guided him perfectly down the aisle. She even captured some beautiful candid footage and photos that we’ll always treasure. After all the excitement (and many, many photos!), Sue kindly took Casper to his kennel for a well-deserved mini staycation before heading home. We cannot recommend Sue and Pete enough to anyone looking to include their dog in their special day. Whether you simply want photos with your pup or a full-on role in the ceremony, they are the go-to people. They make sure everything runs smoothly—without taking time or focus away from your family and friends. Thank you, Sue and Pete, for making it all possible!

Wonderful!
We couldn’t recommend APad4Paws more! Sue and Pete are the loveliest people who helped to make our wedding day complete by bringing along our boy, Otto. Otto is a very excitable young springer spaniel and Sue was brilliant with him on the day keeping him calm and ensuring all his needs were looked after. They helped to create some of the most special memories from the day and we loved all the behind the scenes photos seeing what Otto had been up to around the venue on the day! Communication was brilliant throughout the whole planning process and everything was flexible around both ours and Otto’s needs. We couldn’t be more grateful for the part you played in making our day perfect!

Amazing, would highly recommend!!
Sue & Pete were amazing from the start, from our very first zoom meeting we were put at ease and knew they were the right people for us and our boy, Tucker. Their communication was brilliant right up until the wedding & on the wedding day, answering any questions we had. Having Tucker at our wedding made it so much more special and Sue & Pete made that happen for us! We will be forever grateful, a memory we will cherish always. Thankyou so much. Would highly recommend to everyone !!!
